Firwood Leadership Personnel (LPs) play a crucial role in our team. Your job is to ensure the camp runs smoothly and safely. You'll take the lead in specific areas, guiding and mentoring other staff as they join you in those tasks. Whether it's paintball, lifeguarding, or even teaming up with Ops Crew to clean bathrooms, our leaders are the heart of creating a safe and fun atmosphere for staff and campers.

 

But it's not just about the work – as a leader, you'll also have the chance to form connections and guide the staff through bible studies and shared experiences. It's more than just a job; it's a chance to make lasting memories and build meaningful relationships! 

The heartbeat of camp lies in the hands and feet of our incredible counselors – and that could be you! If you're up for the challenge. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to nurture and guide a group of 8 campers each week. You'll be the maestro of activity classes, the captain of group games, and the storyteller of daily Bible studies, all aimed at helping kids explore, encounter, and engage with Jesus!

But that's not all! You'll also be paired with a Counselor In Training – take them under your wing, share your wisdom, and help them blossom into fantastic counselors. It's not just about the job; it's about making a real impact. Oh, and by the way, we're looking for someone who's at least one year post high school. Ready to make a difference?

Calling all high school Juniors or Seniors with a passion for hands-on ministry! Our Counselors In Training (CIT) program is the perfect opportunity for you. This volunteer role isn't just about giving back – it's a chance for you to grow in your faith and develop leadership skills. As a CIT, you'll be right there in the cabin with campers, leading activity classes, and running activities during Free Time to ensure every camper has the best week of their summer.

Our experienced CIT Leads will be by your side, helping you with your duties and guiding you through a group summer Bible study to deepen your faith. Ready to embark on a meaningful adventure? Shoutout to the real MVPs of camp – Operations Crew! If you're a high school Sophomore, Junior, or Senior eager to learn leadership skills and get hands-on work training, this is the spot for you. Led by an Ops Crew Lead, your team will tackle the most crucial tasks to keep camp running like a well-oiled machine.
