Retreats and Events
Firwood is located on Lake Whatcom, southeast of Bellingham, Washington – 118 acres of beautiful forest with 4,500 feet of pristine lake waterfront and our very own island! Firwood can provide a serene, uncomplicated setting for the type of camp you are staging.
Facilities
Available in the non-summer months of May through mid-June and September, Firwood is the ideal camp setting for 30 to 200 guests. Guests are housed in 10-person cabins, reviving childhood summer camp memories. Restrooms and showers are centrally located.
Offering several meeting areas allows for creativity for your group. There is an outdoor amphitheater with a stage; the Shorthouse can accommodate up to 80 people; and the Longhouse (Dining Room) can easily be transformed to a large meeting space or indoor activity center for up to 200.
Activities
The main appeal of Firwood lies in waterfront activities. Swimming, waterskiing, the Blob, aqua swing, kayaking, canoeing, and a water trampoline provide all the water fun your group desires (groups need to provide a certified lifeguard). Beach volleyball, soccer field and basketball are also available. For a real challenge, try our challenge course and climbing wall, available for an additional fee.
