What’s Happening @ Camp Firwood
02.02.11 | No Comments »
We are gearing up for another great summer at Camp Firwood. This past weekend we were at Missions Fest in Vancouver, spreading the word to lots of Canadian campers. Many things keep us busy this time of year, including registering campers, processing staff applications, writing Bible study curriculum, creating program themes and coming up with new menus for meals. A lot goes into making Firwood a great place to be this summer.

Uncle Flopsy is the newest member of the Camp Firwood team and is serving as an apprentice in our FLAP program. Uncle Flopsy [AKA Steve Jagich] is no stranger to Firwood, as he worked as the Videographer [‘06] and Paintball Director [‘07] in past summers. He was also an Intern with The Firs After School Adventure program during the ‘09-’10 school year.
Steve met his wife, Reepicheep [Whitney], working together on staff in 2007 and they were married on the Firwood swim beach in 2008. Watch this short interview with Uncle Flopsy himself.
E-Checks: A New Way to Pay
02.01.11 | No Comments »
You may have noticed on Camp Firwood’s online registration, an option to pay with E-Checks. This method deducts your payment directly from your checking account. Paying with E-Checks is easy and helps us by saving the 3% fee for processing credit cards. We spend over $20,000 each year on processing fees. If you can, consider paying for camp with an E-Check and help us keep the cost of camp low!Click here to register today.
